And how many a generation have We destroyed before them who were better in possessions and [outward] appearance?

وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَحْسَنُ أَثَٰثًا وَرِءْيًاAnd how many a generation have We destroyed before them who were better in possessions and [outward] appearance?
